What a fantastic book by Jada Pinkett-Smith, Girls Hold Up This World!
It’s been a few years since I’ve read it. My oldest has moved on to Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Charlotte’s Web.
So while digging for something my baby would like, I saw this wonderful book sitting on the shelf.
I thought to myself, M is not going to understand this at all. But then again, does it matter, she will eventually and besides; it’s a great book to read while you squeeze your little girl tight. It makes you proud to be a Mom and excited to raise an empowered, strong, independent daughter and for this, I thank Mrs. Smith.
So, to my daughters, my friend’s daughters and all the daughters in my family…
Be proud to be a girl – know what it means to you. Be who you want to be – don’t doubt the things you do.
